General information:

Fearless is the third and last book in the Powerless trilogy. It was released in early 2025 and is 522 pages long. Fearless is a fantasy romance novel and I would recommend it for the ages 14 and up.

Content:

After being caught by the Enforcer Kai Azer and being brought back to Ilya, Paedyn is met with a big surprise. Instead of the death sentence she awaits she has to marry the king and brother of the Enforcer, her big love. But she has to prove to the kingdom that as an ordinary she can be a respected and powerful queen. While facing deadly trials she has to resist the brother of her betrothed. And both tasks could be hard to survive.

Review:

In Fearless we meet many characters from the first two books in the series again. The main characters Paedyn and Kai, Kitt and more side characters. Something I noticed was that the side characters were all really memorable. Usually when you have many characters I tend to forget some and have a hard time remembering them. And even though I read Reckless in January I remembered all of them. We also learn a bit more about Edric, the villain in book 1. His perspective was surprisingly the most enjoyable and unique perspective in the book and I wished we had more of it.

I think the writing in the first book was really beautiful and even poetic. But in Fearless it just got.. excessive. The same quotes were repeated by Kai throughout the book and they didn't get the same reaction from me as they did before. But the fighting scenes were written really good which is why I wish they would have been longer.

The first half of the book was incredibly similar to Powerless. And I think I loved that part but once the second part started it felt like information dumping. So many plot twists were revealed that it just didn't seem real anymore. If the information was revealed a bit more carefully over the span of the whole book the plot would have been more appealing. But the plot twist and the plot itself in the second half was a good story. It connected dots from the last two books and the story seemed finished. It was the perfect build up for a good ending.

Buchbuzz Opinion:

3,5 - 4/ 5- it was a good action packed ending for the whole series. There could be points that could be written better to keep the reader interested in the plot. All in all it's a good fantasy book with bet

ter characters.
